It has been a blast of heat for sure summer but I am sure glad to see you wind down. I am so ready for fall to be here, Ohio didn't have much of a spring at all it has been a heatwave since May and I am ready to wave goodbye. I am looking forward to opening my windows again feel a breeze and smell some fresh air. Maybe by my birthday that may happen. Wishful thinking.

So I worked Thursday for my mom so she could go out to the 127 garage sales, 127 is a state route that runs from Michigan to Tennessee garage sale lovin for many people and great if you got the extra time and money for a road trip,she didn't stray to far though but she brought me back a pretty pie plate last year she was not impressed with the small ones I had and wondered why I had never gotten a bigger one, well I am not a baker, I am learning but if it was not from a box forget it. So this Thanksgiving I am going to try to make something from scratch in this pie plate just for her and I am thinking apple pie. I will definitely be on a the lookout for a more fall-ish pie plate if this years is not a total bust.
